The 13th Annual Garlic Festival in Stratford, Ontario is showcasing 26 different varietals of garlic. Put your taste buds and breath to the test at this extremely entertaining and creative festival celebrating Southwestern Ontario garlic and producers. From garlic ice cream through to restorative teas, this celebration of garlic brings together food and flavour lovers from across Southwestern Ontario for two days of education, tasting and so much more.

Dates: September 7-8, 2019
Cost: Admission for one day is $10 or $15 for the whole weekend

Stratford Theatrical Walking Tour (Halloween Edition)

Stratford is almost as spooky as it is pretty, so visitors from across Ontario visit our town to learn of the spirits who haunt our heritage streets. Costumed guides will take you on a candlelit tour through Stratford’s past, as they delight fear-mongering guests with haunting tales.

Date: Friday, October 25, 2019 –  from 8:00 – 9:15 p.m.
Cost: $20 per adult; $15 per child; or $60 for a family of four (2 adults, 2 children under 14)

The Stratford Lantern Parade

Light up our lovely town with the glow of dozens of lanterns on Tom Patterson Island. You can take advantage of the ready-to-carry lanterns or launch a Wish Boat into the Avon River. There will be musicians and other live entertainment for the whole family – or spend a romantic evening strolling through the Labyrinth of Light hand-in-hand with someone special.

Date: October 19 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Cost: Free!
Location: Festivities begin at the Tom Paterson Island, and the procession will proceed along the riverbank in downtown Stratford, ending at Market Square.

Stratford’s Dragon Boat Festival 2019

Walk down to Lake Victoria in Stratford to see more than 40 teams participate in this traditional Hong Kong style race. There will be different divisions to watch – plus an exciting 2,000 metre final for the top eight teams. More than 2,000 people visit Stratford to watch this amazing event and partake in all the fun and food that is available throughout the day.

Date: September 14, 2019 – from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Stratford Fall Fair

Eat, play and be merry during Stratford’s Fall Fair festivities. Learn about regional agriculture during the farm exhibit, show off your pet at the Pet Show and watch lively local seniors play ball during the Annual Senior Baseball Tournament. There will be a fun midway, games and food enough to go around, so bring your loved ones and create some truly special memories in Stratford.
