Incredible dining experience
Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. My companion and I purchased a package through the hotel which included accommodation and dinner, as well as breakfast.
The dinner was incredibly generous, including a starter, main and dessert. I was impressed by the quality of the food, it was on par with some of the best restaurants in Toronto.
The portions were incredibly generous and many featured locally sourced ingredients.
The dessert pavlova was remarkable, and if you choose to dine here, well worth a try!

A great meal and great value
We have celebrated our wedding anniversary two years in a row at The Parlour and have enjoyed both. The food and service were excellent and the prices reasonable for the value. I recommend reservations at 7:45pm on theater nights to avoid the hectic turnover. By 8 pm the atmosphere was quite, relaxed and enjoyable.

Wonderful meal in downtown Stratford
We did not have a reservation (Thursday at around 6p in October) but they were able to accommodate us right away. We had the Prime Rib and added a Cesar Salad and dessert. Everything was perfectly prepared and presented. My husband likes prime rib but seldom orders it- he said this was excellent. The service was outstanding. We also had drinks- a bloody Mary and a 'Romeo and Juliet' (sweet, chocolate), which were both excellent. Parking was easy as they have a private lot. The total bill was $116, which was very reasonable for our 'splurge' dinner this trip. Would definitely go again.

Fantastic food and service
My mom and I went for dinner. Our smoked chicken salads were very tasty. We both had the salmon - it was incredible. Sharon was our server and she was amazing. She made our dining experience very pleasant and I would go back.

Wonderful food and fabulous Pavlova dessert
I went to the Stratford Festival with two friends for three days in September and we like to try a different restaurant each night. We just happened to find The Parlour Restaurant because the restaurant we planned to go to had just closed and was across the street from the Parlour. The restaurant (The Parlour) is in a very historic building and was decorated in the style of an old English Pub. We ate in the lounge which had big comfy chairs surrounding the table. The service was excellent and the food very good with large servings. The meal was completed with the signature dessert, Pavlova. This is a marvelous meringue with cream, raspberry sauce and almonds. I had Pavlova dessert when I was in New Zealand several years ago, but the Pavlova at The Parlour was even better. We plan to return to Stratford next year and The Parlour is already on our list of restaurants for next year.

Very nice restaurant in downtown Stratford!
We had a wonderful meal in the main dining room (ask for it, you don't want to eat a meal in the lounge because the chairs are really not made for eating at a table!) Our waitress Sharon was excellent, with good suggestions and recommendations. The food is fresh, well-prepared, and delicious. Their signature dessert, the Pavlova, is impressive but very sweet!

Now THIS is classy!
We reserved a table for supper before theatre. We went to the Parlour years ago, and I'm really glad we returned. The service was stellar, the food was incredible, the quantities were huge (!) and the selection was quite broad.
They seem to specialize in beef - prime rib, steaks, etc., but they have a lot of other stuff too. Great wine selection, and some nice beers.
The setting is lovely - an old English theme. The pub area is sunken in the middle of the eating area with big stuffy chairs and TV screens. It's blocked off from the rest by a half wall. We didn't eat there, but it sure was tempting. Our table was comfortable, and we felt private but not closed in.
When all was said and done, with a drink each, and even some extras on our meals, the tab for the two of us was only $123.

A Wonderful Dining Experience
We had not been to The Parlour Restaurant for dinner for many years. In fact the last time we dined there it was known as The Old English Parlour. I am not sure why the restaurant ever fell off our dining radar. It was probably just a matter of having limited nights to dine when we visited Stratford and always wanting to try something "nouveau". At any rate, having tired of over-the-top, over-priced restaurants, we decided to give The Parlour another visit. Are we ever glad that we did!
The atmosphere had changed much since our previous visits. It remains warm, woody and welcoming. We had a cozy booth that we enjoyed a lot. Our server, Hannah, was absolutely delightful--knowledgeable, efficient, charming, and attentive.
Our dinner was absolutely delicious. We started with an excellent Caesar salad that both my husband and I devoured. For our main course, we each had the prime rib. It was a very generous cut. The flavor was wonderful, perfectly roasted and spiced. The prime rib was very meaty and done to our preferred temperature. It was accompanied by a lovely Yorkshire pudding, potato and fresh vegetable.
Despite the fact that we had had an exceptionally satisfying dinner, we could not pass up the carrot cake dessert. The cake was layered and cut in an unusual square shape. The frosting separated the two layers. It was accompanied with two sauces that were divine. Absolutely delicious!! We have been raving to our family and friends about this dessert since we returned home two weeks ago!
The Parlour, like a long-time, dear friend, never disappoints. Can't wait for our next opportunity to dine there. Thanks again to Hannah for her good humor and getting us to the theatre on time!

Excellent Choice in Stratford
We had both dinner and lunch the following day at the Parlour while in Stratford. Although we have been going to plays at Stratford for many years we never tried the Parlour before and that is too bad.
We ate on the patio which is very relaxed. Service was prompt and charming, and our meals were beyond expectation. Salads are very fresh and both a chicken dish and salmon were excellent. There is a good selection of local beers and wine is reasonably priced. The dinner menu is more varied and extensive than the lunch menu.
The Parlour Inn is a member of the Vintage Hotel group with the Prince of Wales, Queen's Landing and Pillar-Post at Niagara on the Lake. It was very busy on Friday evening but not for lunch on Saturday.
We will definitely return on our next visit to Stratford.

Great for After Theatre
Try the Pavlova, the signature dish, built on a giant delicate meringue (gluten free) with a mingle of creme freche, raspberry coulis, and almonds. Also great, per by dining partner, the homemade filled carrot cake with sauces on the side. The restaurant is inside an old hotel (1871), all the rooms are unique, well worth sticking your head in to see.

Great food! Great service!
We enjoyed this restaurant as part of our stay at The Inn. We had daily breakfast and room service. All well done. Portions very nice, good presentation and delicious food.
Menu has wide variety to choose from, and food well prepared.virginiab647
A Hidden Gem
This was an excellent experience and as I told Valerie our server our only regret was not finding this restaurant years ago.
For the past 5 years we have lived 20 minutes from Stratford and for about 7 years before that we travelled to Stratford to see shows at least once a year and never knew about this place. We found it only after one of our daughters gave us a gift certificate for for the Vintage Inns which are more well known in the Niagara area.
We will definitely return. A great night out.
